Ravindra Jadeja returned to the No.1 spot in ICC Test Rankings for all-rounders after his historic all-round performance in India’s massive win over Sri Lanka in the first of a 2-Test series in Mohali. Jadeja moved up two spots to replace Jason Holder at the top of the all-rounder chart while R Ashwin slipped to No. 3 from No. 2 despite his match-winning contribution in the Mohali Test.

Ravindra Jadeja hit 175 not out in India’s first innings, his highest Test score as he broke Kapil Dev’s record for the most runs scored at No. 7 for India in Tests. He returned to pick up 9 wickets, including a 5-wicket haul in the firs innings, as India won by an innings and 222 runs in Mohali.

Meanwhile, former captain Virat Kohli moved up two spots in the batting charts to the NO. 5 spot. Captain Rohit Sharma, who failed to trouble the scorers much in his first Test as skipper, slipped a spot to 6th. There are no personnel changes in the top ten of the Men’s Bowling Rankings, and just one move in that number, with Neil Wagner and Josh Hazlewood swapping places at eighth and ninth respectively.
