The Scheduled Test for Airmen Recruitment (STAR) airmen recruitment exam scheduled to take place in multiple centres between March 19-23 has been postponed due to restrictions over the coronavirus outbreak, according to the Central Airmen Selection Board.

A notice released by the board states, “In view of the outbreak of Coronavirus, various government advisories and Section 144 at many places, STAR (01/2020) exam scheduled from 19-23 Mar 2020 is POSTPONED to the last week of Apr 2020, tentatively.”

The notice adds that the latest updates will be available at the CASB website:

The IAF had issued a notice inviting “ONLINE application from UNMARRIED MALE INDIAN CITIZENS (citizens of Nepal are also eligible) for selection test from 19 March 2020 to 23 March 2020 to join as Airmen in Group ‘X’ Trades (Except Education Instructor Trade) and Group ‘Y’ {Except Auto Tech, IAF(P), IAF(S) and Musician} Trades.”

The Indian Army has also postponed all its recruitment rallies by one month, PTI reported, as well as restricting travel by its personnel.

Other exams that have been postponed include the RBI’s Recruitment of Assistant-2019 main exam.

The CHSL Tier I Examination 2019—Combined Higher Secondary (10+2) Level Examinations (Tier-I) 2019—will be conducted as scheduled between March 17-23, the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) announced, but with precautions. No bio-metric registration will be conducted through thumb impressions will be taken. Candidates will be allowed to bring masks and hand sanitizers to the exam hall. Other necessary precautions for sanitizing “frequently used objects such as mouse/ keyboards/ tables / door handles” will also be taken, according to the notice.
